His main YouTube channel, "MrBeast", is the fifth-most-subscribed on the platform. Donaldson posted videos to YouTube at the age of 13 under the name "MrBeast6000". His first videos were a mixture of Let's Plays and videos that analyzed the wealth of other YouTubers. After his 2017 "Counting to 100,000" video was viewed by tens and thousands of views within a couple of days, Donaldson was an instant YouTube star. His first videos included Let's Plays and videos which predicted the worth of other YouTubers. Donaldson hired his childhood friends to run the company as it grew. MrBeast is Donaldson's primary YouTube channel. The channel reached 100 million subscribers on July 28, 2022.
