American actress Courtney Thorne Smith (born November 8th in 1967). Her best-known work is her roles on Melrose Place, Alison Parker on Melrose Place, Georgia Thomas on Ally McBeal, Cheryl in According to Jim and her recurring role on Two and a Half Men as Lyndsey McElroy. Thorne Smith was born in Menlo Park in the south of San Francisco. Her father, Walter Smith, was a market researcher for computers, as was her mother, Lora Thorne, was a therapist. Courtney was just seven years old when her parents separated. Courtney lived with both parents at different times. Jennifer her elder sister is an ad executive. She attended the Menlo-Atherton high school located in Atherton, California and graduated Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley in 1985. While she was in high school, she performed in the Ensemble Theater Company of Mill Valley. Thorne-Smith's first film appearance in the movie drama Lucas with Winona Ryder Corey Haim, and Charlie Sheen. She was also involved in several films in the late 1980s, such as Welcome to 18 (1986), Revenge of the Nerds II: Nerds in Paradise (1987), Summer School (1987) and Side Out (1990). In 1998, she appeared in the box office failure Chairman of the Board , starring Carrot Top. She was also in Sorority Wars in 2009. Thorne Smith was a lover of Andrew Shue from Melrose Place in the early 1990s. In June 2000, she tied the knot with Andrew Conrad, a geneticist. The couple broke up in the month of January. Roger Fishman (president of Zizo Group Marketing Company) and author of What I Know was her wedding date. On January 11, 2008, aged 40, she gave birth to her son, Jacob Emerson Fishman.
