Abigail Marie Clancy Bio

Abigail Marie Clancy was born on the 10th of January, 1986. She is an English TV model and personality. In 2006, she was the second-place finisher in Britain's Next Top Model (cycle 2) and in 2013, she was the winner of the series 11 of Strictly Come Dancing. Since 2015, she has been presenting Britain's Next Top Model. Clancy was the second-oldest of the four kids born to Karen (nee Sullivan), and Geoffrey Thomas Clancy. Clancy was born in Woolton (a suburb of Liverpool) and attended St Mary's Primary and St Julie's Catholic High Schools. Clancy was a member of the girl group Genie Queen. They were managed by Andy McCluskey at Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark. Clancy was chosen to be one of thirteen finalist for the second season of Living TV's Britain's Next Top Model. She was competing for a 10-week modeling contract. Clancy and co-contestant Lianna fowler were able to make it to the final runway show, where they ultimately were named the runners-up. Clancy was included on Britain's Next Top Model and has since modelled for several publications and newspapers. Clancy, who modeled the Triumph Bonneville Motorbike for Arena magazine's cover in May 2007 was photographed by Clancy. Clancy was also featured in Sports Illustrated magazine's 2010 swimsuit edition. Clancy was featured for her sporting relationship with Peter Crouch and was photographed in the magazine with just body paint to make it appear like she was wearing the England shirt, photographed by Yu Tsai. Clancy was wearing an England shirt during Umbro's campaign in 2010, as well as other girlfriends and wives of players from winning nations. Clancy was a model for Giles Deacon's Ready-To-Wear Giles Spring 2011. In July 2013, Clancy was part of London designer Hasan Hejazi’s campaign. She was featured in a fashion-related editorial by Absynth Photographic as well as a fashion film created by Gabriel Gettman. Clancy was also featured on the August 2011 UK Esquire magazine cover by Solve Sundsbo. Clancy together with Suki Waterhouse (and Cara Delevingne) was featured in LOVE magazine’s December 2013 Advent Calendar. Clancy was on the cover British Marie Claire, July 2014, as well as British Elle March 2015. Abbey Clancy, along with her daughter Sophia Crouch, collaborated in October of 2019 with Lipsy, a London-based fashion company to introduce their AW'19 collection. The AW'19 collection officially launched in the UAE in January 2020.
